New Year fireworks prep guide
A simple plan to help your dog feel safer before the celebrations start. Leave your email for the full checklist.
Step 1
Start early
Begin desensitization and safe-space setup 2–4 weeks before New Year’s Eve so your dog isn’t learning under pressure.
Step 2
Build a quiet room
Pick an interior room, soften hard surfaces, close curtains, and keep familiar bedding and water nearby.
Step 3
Practice the routine
Run short “fireworks night” rehearsals with white noise, treats, and calm presence so the real night feels familiar.
Step 4
Stay with your dog
Plan to be home. Your calm presence is part of the system — kits help, but they work best with you there.
